Steps to Volunteer

Listed below are basic steps for volunteering:
1. Prayerfully consider if the Lord is leading you to help at Press On Ministries.
2. Have background check cleared with Child/Adult Protective Services.
3. Visit the center and or participate in your area(s) of interest.
4. Fill out application forms and view Press On Ministries video (8 3/4 min. long).
5. Be approved by Center Director/s and Press On Ministries Board.
6. Go through Child Abuse Position document and video with center representative.
The above will need to be done before any involvement or contact with youth.
7. Receive orientation as well as be willing to participate in ongoing training.
8. Be willing to work as team member, with Directors, other volunteers, and ministries.
We believe a six month probationary period to settle in and serve together is very beneficial for us all. During this time -and if necessary with no spoken reasoning- either the volunteer or directors can end the volunteering position. Common courtesy is expected from both Ministry staff and Volunteer. This can however be appealed to Press On Ministry Board of managers as the primary authority.

having notified the Directors in a timely manner.
2.Be willing to receive and give instructions and or suggestions.
3. When at the Center be available to serve and interact with kids.
4. Know yourself emotionally particularly in regard to patience and youth.
